Audi's new five-cylinder pocket rocket arrives in Australia side by side year, with more torque, a trick new all-wheel-bulldoze system, and new technology.

The new 2022 Audi RS3 volition be priced from $91,400 before on-road costs when it arrives in Australian showrooms in the 2d quarter of 2022 (Apr to June inclusive).

Bachelor in 5-door Sportback ($91,400) and four-door Sedan ($93,900) torso styles, the new RS3 is approximately $8000 more expensive than the automobile it replaces – but Audi says there's most $10,000 worth of additional standard equipment, forth with an uprated engine and overhauled mechanicals.

In New Southward Wales, the prices equate to approximately $103,000 drive-away for the hatchback, and $105,550 drive-away for the sedan.



Powering the new RS3 is a evolution of its predecessor's fan-favourite ii.five-litre turbocharged five-cylinder engine, sending 294kW and 500Nm (up 20Nm) to all iv wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic manual – good for a 3.viii-second 0-100km/h time, 3 tenths faster than the outgoing model.

Headlining the new model'due south operation roster is an overhauled all-wheel-bulldoze arrangement, featuring a trick new torque-vectoring rear differential known equally the RS Torque Splitter, which passes more than torque to the outside wheel during dynamic driving – upward to 100 per cent in RS Torque Rear mode, flicking the car into a controlled drift.

Standard performance features in Australia will include adaptive dampers, Audi drive select, 19-inch wheels with Pirelli P Zero tyres, an RS sports exhaust, and steel performance brakes with cherry-red calipers.

On the luxury side, standard equipment is largely carried over from the four-cylinder S3, which includes a 10.ane-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Motorcar and satellite navigation, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, nappa leather upholstery, electric forepart seats, matrix LED headlights, and a 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

However, the RS3 includes as standard various items typically optional on the S3, including a 360-degree camera, easily-free electric tailgate (with electrical closing on the hatch), retention mirrors and commuter's seat, and a head-upward display.



Standard active safety systems include autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep aid, blind-spot monitoring, rear cantankerous-traffic alert, forepart and rear parking sensors, semi-autonomous parking, and six airbags.

A range of options are available, from an alternating 19-inch wheel design for $500, to the $thirteen,000 RS Dynamic Plus package, which adds carbon-ceramic brakes and a meridian speed limiter boost from 250km/h to 290km/h. These are detailed further at the lesser of this story.

Bachelor colours include Turbo Blue, Kyalami Green, Glacier White, Kemora Gray, Mythos Black, Python Yellow, Tango Ruby and Daytona Grey – all of which are included in the purchase price.
